THREE major dams in Luzon — Ambuklao, Binga and Magat — have opened their gates to release water to avert possible overflow due to the effects of the southwest monsoon or “habagat.”
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said one gate of Ambuklao Dam was unlocked to release water measured at 0.30 meter (m) or an outflow of 71.82 centimeters (cms).
The dam, located in Benguet province, has a water level of 751.39 m. Its spilling level is 752 m., This news data comes from:http://705-888.com
Pagasa said the Binga dam, also located in the same province, had one floodgate opened as of 8 a.m. on Sept. 8, 2025, with an outflow of 81.05 cm.
